After battling for a very long time to be released from Bellator MMA, Eddie Alvarez (25-3) has now officially left the promotion, and that of course is thanks to the new Bellator President Scott Coker. Following his release, the former Bellator Lightweight Champion had his biggest wish to come true as he immediately became a part of the world's greatest MMA organization, Ultimate Fighting Championship. Alvarez is already scheduled to meet #5 Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone (24-6) at UFC 178 in Las Vegas by the end of next month.

 
 
When you think about Hollywood action movies, you think fake, but Cung Le is the real deal as he uses the same fighting moves on the big screen as he would have used in the Octagon. The sanshou kickboxer also explains the difference between preparation for films and for MMA matches.

Cung Le (9-2) will fight against Michael Bisping (24-6) in the main event of UFC Fight Night 48 in Macau, China this Saturday.

Ex-UFC Heavyweight title holder Randy "The Natural" Couture (19-11) and former PRIDE Heavyweight Champion Fedor "The Last Emperor" Emelianenko (34-4) was once close to meet each other, even the cover of the EA MMA game for consols featured them, but both MMA legends are retired. The American, however, after being asked if he likes the idea to face the Russian in a grappling contest answered: "That would be interesting and certainly given the time to prepare and get back up into good, solid grappling and wrestling shape, that would be a lot of fun and I think, you know. I'm not sure how active Fedor is at this stage, you know him being retired as well, but I'm certainly no opposed to an idea like that."

It would be awesome to see both legends at Metamoris, such a match would draw many people for sure. Who do you think would win?

Vietnamese-American Sanshou kickboxer Cung Le (9-2) posted a picture on instagram of himself and wrote: "My last hard workout for this ufc fight, camp saigonsportsclub is done. In BeastMode shape for this fight! Strike like lightning & follow by thunder!" 

Not bad for the 42-year-old! 

Former Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Le will meet Brit Michael Bisping (24-6) at UFC Fight Night 48 the upcoming weekend at the Cotai Arena in Macau, China. 

 
 
In the headliner of UFC Fight Night 47 in Bangor, Maine, Ryan Bader used his wrestling and boxing skills to defeat Ovince Saint Preux. Saint Preux' attacks was much less successful than Bader's, who scored big takedowns, worked on the ground and felt better distance. Despite losing the match, the second round went in OSP's favor.

In the co-headliner Ross Pearson was a better striker than Gray Maynard, and after being taken down he didn't wait to get up. In the second round after a successful attack, Pearson sent Maynard to the floor and followed with punches resulting in a TKO-win.

In the main event of M-1 Challenge: Battle on Neva, two titans from Poland clashed, M-1 Heavyweight Champion Damian Grabovski (19-2) and challenger Marcin Tybura (11-0). Grabovski advanced and started to punch, Tybura moved to side and landed an inside leg kick, the champion threw right hands and went for the clinch pressing his opponent against the ropes. The challenger countered and pressed Grabovski to the ropes, and after some work from the clinch, the champion tried to land a knee from the side, but Tybura grabbed it and took Grabovski down. After ending in the north-south position, challenger Tybura executed a choke and put the champion to sleep while taking his crown.
